As a University, our primary responsibility is to develop and deliver academic programs that can develop the strengths and potential of our students. Founded in 1824 as a teacher training college, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University is committed to constantly improving its capacity in providing the best teaching and research opportunities we can. As the first teacher training college in northern Thailand, CMRU has always been seeking ways to be a better resource for our community. CMRU has state-of-the-art facilities, qualified human resources, and strong international collaboration with institutions and organizations.
CMRU pays great attention to professional development among its staff. CMRU is actively encouraging its staff members to pursue academic achievement, i.e. Doctoral studies abroad to further improve teaching quality and the university's research capacity to better meet society's rapidly changing needs.
The university has also set its sights on expanding collaboration internationally with other institutions and organizations and is also continuing its efforts to strengthen recruitment of international students. Thus we warmly welcome and appreciate international professors and researchers, students from overseas, and volunteers to come to Chiang Mai and to join with us at CMRU.
This publication briefly outlines the CMRU profile as well as providing descriptions of programs that are offered. If any of your questions remain unanswered, our approachable staff can provide specific answers when you visit us.
